From the Photographer:
This gorgeously styled boudoir editorial shoot took place in a minimalistic and clean studio based in Utah hosted by D’Arcy Benincosa’s The Path Workshop. Refine Studio, who has a very delicate and organic vision, kept only couple of elements by using a minimalistic approach. She used a magically created plaster background board and a delicate veil and slip to enhance women’s beauty and portray romance. The silk veil from Girl With a Serious Dream breathes a dreamy sense of luxury. The delicate French lingerie not only brings out the feminine qualities, but the newness and excitement of the wedding.
As a photographer capturing this beautiful editorial, I wanted to focus on the simple beauty of the bride. Megan, the model, was amazing at bringing out a woman’s self-confidence with the natural line of her body. I was moved by her elegant and beautiful poses that reminded me of a beautiful bird. Her natural makeup went very well with the studio’s natural and classy set up. Her soft but elegant movements were captured so perfectly. I was able to capture her intimate emotion that is a must to create beautiful boudoir portraits. I am very pleased with the overall feeling of the editorial and I enjoy capturing the woman’s beauty.
Sadly, many brides are a little hesitant to do a boudoir session for their soon-to-be husbands. But what I hear from other brides is that the experience during the session and their husbands' reactions from receiving these gifts are phenomenal. They can’t help but tell all the other brides that they should have their own session! A bridal boudoir session like this creates images that a spouse will cherish forever.
