Breathing in the crisp air, Angela can feel the tension leaving her muscles. The sunlight warms the top of her head and flows down through her arms and into her legs. It is suddenly easier to relax in front of the camera and she starts to enjoy the movement of posing, shifting her body in ways that make her feel connected to each part of herself.
Andrea of Andrea Rufener Photography has always dreamed of her first outdoor boudoir session. Her dream finally came true when Angela contacted her for this sunlit boudoir session:
Angela mentioned that she would like to have it outside somewhere, since she loves nature and spends a lot of time outside. It took me a while to find the ideal spot - one with amazing natural light, beautiful surroundings and no walkers around. On one of my Sunday walks, I came across this gem of a location and immediately knew that THIS was where I wanted to shoot. Lush greens, beautiful trees and amazing natural light during sunset - it was perfect.
During the session, I showed Angela a little back of the camera sneak peek. She got so excited and started to literally squeal from happiness, hugged me and thanked me a million times for my work. And we were not even half way through the shoot by then. I really loved that. Seeing how she was beginning to feel more confident and happy with every new frame that I took. It made me remember why I wanted to get into boudoir photography in the first place.
I like natural, simple and beautiful boudoir pictures. I don't care for too many accessories as sometimes less is definitely more. My approach is creating images that are timeless memories for every woman, no matter what age or size. Don't wait until you have reached your perfect weight, or until your hair is finally short/long enough. Don't wait for the perfect time. It will never come. The time is now. Every woman is beautiful, and with some nice light and a little bit of time, you will see just that: how truly beautiful you are.
We couldn’t agree more, Andrea! Thank you for sharing this stunning session with us.
