Susanna Nordvall and Michaela Egger of Hey Look came together to create an intimate, authentic boudoir session for a real Nordic bride. They put a strict emphasis of keeping it true to the bride in every sense: a free spirit, shy and sensitive, strong and confident, and an athlete and dreamer. "Even though we may choose a style and direction, the bride herself truly directs a session," says Michaela of the styling of such a shoot.
"I want to show my client her beauty as she is, without excessive makeup or unnatural poses. To celebrate her and boost her confidence, as I know everyone needs it from time to time. Women and brides usually have their boudoir images taken as a gift to their significant others but I find that to be a secondary reason I do this for. I shoot for the women, to make them feel beautiful, proud and comfortable in their own skin as then it also shows in the images. Then I'm confident that their partners will love the photos as well."
