This session came to life after Hailey, my sweet friend approached me about doing a boudoir session for her husbands valentine's day gift. They had just welcomed their baby girl a few short months ago and she was beginning to feel good about her postpartum body again. I was instantly excited about this because I am such an advocate for self love and I knew that this session was going to strengthen that self love for Hailey even more. We chose her little farm-house inspired home out in the country for our location, keeping it simple and clean and true to who Hailey is. The walls in her master suite were covered in white washed shiplap, to die for. She had just enough window light pouring through to give us the mood we were going for. I told Hailey to relax and think about her love for Jacob, the way he looks at her when it's just the two of them in the quiet moments they share, but more importantly to reach for that feeling she gets during those moments. And she nailed it. Hailey was so comfortable in front of the camera and truly herself. Her true beauty was so apparent in each and every photograph and I am so happy to have witnessed her gaining that confidence back even more through our session. I hope that with these images, other women can feel beautiful about their bodies too-no matter what stage in life they are at. I want them to know that simple is beautiful and when you are true to who you are, your beauty is going to do more than shine through, it's going to inspire people.
