Photography by Lydia Krumpholz Foto + Design
We love the heart of how this quiet and cozy boudoir session was born. After success as a newborn photographer, Lydia Krumpholz realized it was no longer filling her cup with joy. While browsing the web for inspiration, she stumbled upon a heartfelt boudoir documentary that excited her for something new. This was it! This is how she hoped to serve others with her talents. She quickly reached out to some friends on Facebook to allow her to photograph them, and Kathi happily agreed! Here's what Kathi had to say about the experience:
I always looked at boudoir photos and thought how sensual and beautiful the women looked. Before my session, I was so nervous if I, as an average woman without model experience or a perfect body, could look that beautiful too. On the session day, my tension was swept away pretty fast. Everybody was so nice! I got cookies and coffee, make-up and hairstyling and I was totally taken care of. While shooting, I was guided through the poses and Lydia made compliments all the time, which also made it easier for me. When I look at my images, I'm so proud! I often hear other woman say that they couldn't to this. Believe me: you can. Beautiful light, styling, and a great photographer brings out the beautiful woman you already are. And the images you'll get are just breathtaking!
We love how Lydia created an experience for her client. This truly is what makes fine art boudoir so different. It's so much more than just a photoshoot. We asked Lydia how she sees boudoir imagery positively impacting women, and aboslutely love her response.
I feel like its such a liberating thought that you don't have to change anything to be beautiful. That you are the proverbial "eye of the beholder" and you are allowed to feel beautiful.
We know a lot of you are in Germany, so be sure to reach out to Lydia for an experience of your own.
