From the Photographer:
For Rebecca's boudoir session, I was inspired by her natural beauty and the idea of going back to the basics. There's so much to be said about simplicity. It can be sweet, it can be soft, and it can be romantic. In this day in age where everything is so fast pace, I wanted to share something that helps us slow down a little and appreciate the serenity of minimalism. With her bedroom adorned with clean white sheets and a single vase on her night stand, I wanted for us to focus on Rebecca and her natural movements. From the stretching of her arms, to her fingers tracing along her shoulders, and to the way she plays with her hair, we can almost feel a sense of calmness.
And almost as if we wanted to juxtaposed that calmness with an excited jolt, we venture with Rebecca into her anticipation of soon being married. Her excitement is evident as she jumps from her bed, levitating just for a brief moment. It was very easy to feel a desire to join the fun. And as if our minds were read, her and her partner's adorable 4 legged companion joined the session. It was really sweet to see the care and comfort displayed between the two. I felt I was documenting a moment where her partner's two favorite girls were quietly exchanging secrets.
We chose for her to wear a romper that best reflects her slight demure personality. Rebecca also expressed she wanted the photos to feel romantic and timeless. The romper's intricate lace details provides the prefect essence of romance. We paired her romper with a delicate robe that is also sewn with gorgeous lace linings. We love that lace can represent sexy and still be relevant and timeless for many generations to come.
We really hope that the beautiful simplicity of this session encourages others to find the beauty in all the little things in our lives.
