Today’s very real boudoir was shared with us by Caitlin of Caitlin's Living Photography. This boudoir was inspired by her good friend who had just had a baby and was looking to do a boudoir to help herself see beauty in her post-baby body. It sounds like she not only found beauty in her body, but also freedom in expressing herself through these images.
In Caitlin’s own words:
In the gorgeous 10 o’clock am light, our client and good friend Amanda modeled in our studio. We wanted to create a perception of boudoir imagery that was organic and real. Something that would inspire women to embrace themselves regardless of their body type. I always encourage my clients to sit, stand, or pose in a position that allows them to rest into comfort. Once I can tell that they have come to ease I can encourage slight bends in their curves, to accentuate their lines.
Amanda's session encourages us to focus on the intimacy and the loveliness of confidence and freedom. Whether she was in lace undergarments or a cozy sweater, her beauty was showcased all the same -- free of distraction. She wanted to embrace her body, post baby, and inspire other women to do the same.
May this boudoir inspire everyone who is struggling with accepting their body as it is, right in this moment. We hope it serves as a reminder that there is no ideal time to do a boudoir. Instead of waiting, embrace the freedom of knowing that you will never be in this same time and place again.
