Boudoir is an intentional work of art. It should be utilized to explore your own self, internally and externally, and to learn to feel comfortable in your own skin. It is important to reach a place of confidence that allows you to feel secure enough to reveal yourself to a stranger. To show them your true self, so they may capture it on film, preserving this season of your life forever.
"A boudoir session is an intimate photographic exercise that captures the female body with elegance, and bathing it in light. Regardless of her age, or the curves of her body, I always strive to give back to the women in front of my lens, to show her the inner image that she has of herself in a beautiful way. It is reconciliation with their bodies, a romantic therapy, a small miracle that photography only has the capability to do.
"I try to sublimate the beauty of my clients with my eye and I'm helped with the magic of the medium format film. It gives a velvety aspect to all the images.
"Getting undressed in front of someone else is never easy. The aim is the re-introduction of each woman to her body, revealing a new confidence in her image and herself. Styling a boudoir session is a long, intentional process that begins at the first consult. Boudoir sessions are never an improvisation; they unveil a buried personality that yearns to reveal itself artistically."
