Every boudoir session tells an important story, whether it’s the story of the photographer’s first session, a woman exploring her body and finding her self confidence, or a couple wanting to document the uniqueness of their relationship. This delicate session tells the story of a photographer who wants to change the way boudoir is viewed by infusing innocence and intimacy into her sessions instead of focusing on highlighting sexiness. We hope Hannah of Peaches & Twine’s take on boudoir encourages you to think of new ways to infuse your work with fearlessness.
I put this shoot together to finally bring my passion for femininity to life. My entire inspiration came from a single peach tulip I saw at the supermarket. How delicate, sweet, innocent, and feminine it was. It inspired me to try and change what people generally think of when they think of boudoir. I want people to think of female empowerment, fearless feminism, and a soft beauty.
This boudoir shoot gave me so much motivation to continue to branch out into this still "taboo" section of photography. As a boudoir photographer, people will often think that I am in a pornographic industry. It is so unfortunate that people think of boudoir this way. It is really about self confidence and true beauty. Women are such beautiful creatures, and to photograph them in such an intimate way is so relaxing and refreshing.
Boudoir is such a great way to celebrate the fact that you are you and that you are perfect the way you are. It is not about nudity or seduction. Make sure that you pick someone that truly believes in art and inner beauty, rather than someone who just wants to take a sexy picture of you. You will never feel more confident and beautiful than after your session.
