Valerie Sarron of VS Photography has such a lovely view of women. We love to see the world through her eyes, and always enjoy seeing her beautiful work of empowerment and community. We asked Valerie to explain her session, and this is what she was able to offer us:
I originally created this styled shoot as part of project inspired by my local chapter of The Rising Tide society. The goal of the project was to collaborate with other wedding-industry creatives and to make something beautiful together.
My personal goal with this styled shoot was to capture a bridal boudoir session infused with romantic details and charm. I drew inspiration from classic visions of a graceful bride and styled this session with elegant embellishments including vintage decor, delicate lace details, and tons of tulle. Through my photographs, I truly tried to capture the airy, light, and ethereal spirit of the shoot in a fresh and fun way. The result was a contemporary-feeling bridal boudoir session which blended old-world romance with modern charm. That's what I try to accomplish for all of my clients with boudoir sessions; I want to provide women with timeless, classic photos with a fun twist. Photos that they can treasure forever. I especially love working with brides for this reason!
Of course, the shoot wouldn't be complete without my talented counterparts! Tousled waves, intricate braids, and a luminous look by Jenny Luu Hair + Makeup perfectly suited the session’s mood, and the gorgeous blooms by Katie Kelly of Bloom Floral Designs added an extra pop of color and playfulness to every picture.
We are real advocates for The Rising Tide Society, and we are so happy to see community taking hold all around us!
