Bridal Milk Bath Boudoir

On this cozy Sunday, we are happy to share such a serene, beautiful milk bath session by Melissa Mullins Photography. We love a good bath, and seeing these images have inspired us more and more to take the plunge and draw something warm and relaxing. We hope you choose today to treat yourself!

We asked Melissa to let us in on her creative process for this session, and here is what she had to say:

In a twist on a modern boudoir session, I decided to style one of my milk bath boudoir sessions with an unique bridal theme. I was inspired by the beautiful fabrics and designs of the wardrobe by Impish Lee, and wanted to create a session that matched the soft colors and airy feeling of their clothing.

I paired pastel tones of pink and lavender in the water with flowers and feathers to create a romantic and dreamy feeling to these portraits. Marisa Lux Makeup created a natural bridal makeup look with a bit of edge on our lovely model Sara. The stunning flower crowns from Wild Blossom Studio completed the look, and added pops of color to the water.

I love doing milk bath boudoir sessions because it removes the distractions of everyday life. You can really create your own fantasy world, and if that means deep earth tones and pieces of nature or hot pink and glitter, it doesn't matter as long as my clients feel like the best versions of themselves in these images.

So much inspiration coming from such lovely pieces of fabric and lingerie lately. We would love to hear about what inspires you! Let us know in the comments below.
