There is power in simplicity. Beauty in the small things. Talent in the understated. It takes a true visual artist to be confined to a couch, and turn it into a story of an antebellum maiden, barred indoors by the winter cold.
We asked Nicole of Darling Today Photography for her inspiration behind this story, and here is what she had to say:
"There's a natural charm to old houses so I wanted this boudoir session to feel like it belonged in the antebellum house I was shooting in. Everything from the color of walls, the love seat, to the vintage slip gown and the bouquet were white or ivory colors and helped elevate the romantic feeling of being surrounded by the large open windows with natural light flooding in. I loved the vintage slip gown from Shop Gossamer that I had bought several months before and knew it would fit perfectly within the winter theme. Even with a more reserved look, the sheer material and romantic details such as the lace allowed our model to feel naturally beautiful."
We always love to see historical architectures, and unique boudoir locations, and we are grateful to have Darling Today in our community.
